The documentary theater, the private becomes public. The search for a visual language on stage begins: painting, audiovisuals, streaming images mixed with text-based theatre, body and movement, all of it intended to bring the audience closer to the world of M, this self-destructive adult who is Marina and, at the same time, is everyone.
The stage space recreates a painting studio, a blank paper, a canvas that encloses the actress in it, mutating and being stained.
The audience is a visitor, an accomplice, and a protagonist.

SYNOPSIS
March 2021. Iceland. The Fagradalsfjall volcano erupts. For days, it had been sending warnings, shaking the island so many times that the ground became unstable and it finally exploded.
A few days later, M exploded too.
She thought that reporting the man who abused her as a child can no longer remain a private matter.
And she erupted. And she began painting all that shit and vomiting it all out, without caring who she was staining.

THE TALKS
With the aim of ensuring that this project also serves as a tool and space for care, prevention and awareness-raising, the performances and visits have been accompanied by talks addressing sexual abuse in childhood, as well as sexual violence, which are closely interconnected. To support this work, alongside the project’s artistic team, we have the support of several professionals with expertise in gender-based violence, children’s and women’s rights, and the performing arts:
- Vicki Bernadet Rius, President of the Vicki Bernadet Foundation, an organisation dedicated to the comprehensive support, prevention and awareness-raising around child sexual abuse.
- Violeta Assiego Cruz, activist, lawyer and specialist in children’s and women’s rights.
- Carla Vall Duran, criminal lawyer specialising in gender-based, sexual and vicarious violence.
- Dones a Escena, association and space for debate, reflection and action bringing together women working in the performing arts in Lleida.
- Nou Cercle, space dedicated to support, accompaniment and the prevention of child sexual abuse.
- Albert Llimós, journalist, writer and manager of investigation specialized in sexual violence at the newspaper ARA.
- Violeta Assiego Cruz, activist, lawyer and specialist in children’s and women’s rights.
